$15/Person ~ Overlook Hill and Plant Walk: A gently sloped walk to the highest hill in the surrounding area, where ancient campsites have been found. With little development impact, this walk is an excellent opportunity to see many native prairie plants and to learn the traditional meanings and uses of them. Adds approx. 1.5 hours to the tour

$5/Person ~ Watering Holes & Sand Dunes: Visit a naturally filling watering hole and the nearby sand dunes and snap a pic to tell people you were in a desert. Adds approx. 30 minutes to the tour.

My tour guide was obviously enthusiastic about her job and very knowledgeable. I was a lone participant on my tour but never felt like I was wasting my guide’s time. I feel I got the same attention that a group would have gotten.
