Kids Day Camps

Become an archaeologist for a day! Discover archaeology and history through fun, interactive, hands-on, landscape-based activities designed for kids aged 5 to 15.

This one-day camp will include a visit to an archaeology lab and a 500-year-old archaeological site, a bison rubbing stone, traditional skills projects, hiking in the sandhills, and a mock excavation. During the course of the day, campers will develop a basic understanding of archaeology through experiential hands-on activities taught by an archaeologist.

At the end of the day, get your very own stone arrowhead and Junior Archaeologist certificate.

I like how proper terminology is used. It keeps the program serious and gives the kids respect for the past and interested in what life was like for some people.
