Field Trip Programs

The Bodo Archaeological Site & Centre offers experiential curriculum-based educational programs for students of all ages. Programs take place in a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment, inviting students to participate in a range of activities that challenge and inspire them as they learn about archaeology, Indigenous culture, and the natural environment. Our programs are offered on-site, but many options are also available to bring archaeology to your classroom. Our educational resources and programs are structured to meet provincial curriculum requirements in a variety of subjects and grade levels. They can also be configured to follow a set of lessons or subjects you would like to showcase.

Archaeology is an excellent teaching tool that brings Alberta’s history alive for your students. On-Site School Programs include day and overnight fieldtrips.

Was your tour/camp what you expected?
It was much more fun and informative than I expected. Lots of great interactions with my students. Supervisors enjoyed themselves, and it was challenging for them too. So much information about the area, archaeology, and First Nations Peoples.  You provided so much information, and inspired us to “dig” deeper! – Grade 4 Teacher
